Job Description:
Manhattanville University is seeking an adjunct professor to teach JUS 1001 Introduction to Justice Studies (January 20-May 8). Please note that if the Spring semester is successful, there will be the possibility of future employment.
Course Description:
This course is an overview of justice studies as the study of law, systems of law, and the difference between legality and morality. An analysis of justice will be explored using sociological, philosophical, historical, and legal perspectives and methodologies. While much of the focus will be on the United States legal system, the roots of the international legal system will also be addressed.

- Subject matter expertise
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with Brightspace or similar LMS.
Qualifications:
Education: The candidate must have an MA in Political Science, Public Administration, Government, or a JD.
Experience: Previous teaching experience.
Physical Requirements: None.
Salary: $3,375 - $3,675 per semester
Hours Expectation:
Teaching time: 2.5 hours/week per course taught
Office hours: 2 hours/week
